Update May 13
On the 3rd and 13th of May we had ring trainings at the kennel, there were a number of talented and show-interested in our trainings. Since there is a great interest to learning how to show dog nicely, we will continue with regular courses from August, more information will be available on our website and on Big Brazzel's facebook page.

Report from the double dogshow in Roma on Gotland 6-7 May

 After an intense week, it was time for our traditional trip to Gotland and a doubleshow in Roma.
 Andrea and I had reported 9 dogs, and along with Andrea Ewerts Tyson, the opinion was that Camilla with Cooper and Harry would come along, but it did not happen this time.
 When we had 10 dogs and Christer, Hailey and little Kimberly as well as Hampus, Andrea E boyfriend followed, we went by two cars on our trip.
 After going through Stockholm's traffic and our traditional Mc Donald's visit in Haninge, we arrived at Nynäshamn and the boat that would take us to Gotland.
 
 The weather was fine and everyone was in a good mood and the trip went fast. When we arrived at Vible, five minutes south of Visby to Britt and Leifs home where we were staying, we were invited to great buns and good coffee. The dogs ran free in Britt and Leif's big garden and they played as they had not run in a year. I think Chelsea our veteran was the worst and chased toys and balls and rolled around in the spring green grass and just enjoyed the situation. Unfortunately, Colleen escaped and threw herself in the water where she injured one foot so much that she had to stand over the shows both days. At the time of writing, she is much better.
 The one about jumping at the top of the picture below is Chelsea when Hailey plays with the four-legged.
After all, Christer and Hampus went to shop for dinner and breakfasts for our days at Gotland. Andrea and Andrea E went to put up the tent in Roma so that everything would be ready for the shows the coming days. Hailey, Kimberly and I were at home in the house in Vible with all 10 dogs and Hailey was taking a shower in Britt and Leif's whirlpool.

After a good night's sleep, we went with two cars for the show in Roma, where we met Basil's owners. There were 41 notified ESS including 4 puppies. First in the ring was Cocker Spaniel so we could sit in peace and look at the assessment of these.

First out of the ring was our 5 month puppy Chili she ran into the ring as if she had not done anything else and ended up as a BOB puppy.
Immediately after it was time for Basil, he has never been to any show before and is not trained at all but he won the junior class for male dogs and became 3rd best male dog and received his first CAC, Congratulations to Basil's owner.
Then it was time for Andrea E and Tyson to join the ring in the youth class and they also won their class and Tyson ended up as 4th best male with reserve CAC. Fhilip, who is the son of our Corrine, became 4th in the open class.

When all male dogs were finished, it was time for the junior bitches and in that class we had Cola and Cruella. Cruella won the class and Cola became 4th best juniortbitch. For Andrea's part, she quickly changed to the youth class where Cessan was reported despite being junior, but it was no problem for Cessan she was able to win in the youth class. Another quick change to Cashmir that we had reported in the open class for the day despite being a champion but we had to report her were when Andrea and Andrea E could not show more than one dog at time. I think Cashmir felt a bit humiliated having to go to the open class when she is a champion, but she won the class without any problems. Joy, daughter after Chelsea, was not placed in the open class. Cecilia and Carousel were registered in the champion class, and they took the class by storm and became 1:st and 2:nd in this class. Chelsea who had been waiting and waiting and you who are usually on show know how she is sitting in the cage and whispering and almost screaming because she want to get in the ring and show herselves. Chelsea won the veteran class and became the best veteran.

Now it was time for the best bitch and when we had 6 dogs, Ida and several from Kennel Cacis helped us, many thanks for that. In the best bitch won Cecilia best bitch, Cessan best bitch-2 with CAC and Cashmir best bitch-3 and Carousel best bitch-4 and five came Cruella with reserve-CAC and six came Chelsea. We were so proud of our nice girls. Then Cecilia became BOB. In the breeding class we won with the dogs Chelsea, Cashmere, Cessan and Carousel. After a while's rest, it was time for the finals. In the picture below, Hampus, Andrea E and Hailey sit and calm down.

The weather was on top and several of us became a little tanned. In the best in show final for puppies was Chili so happy and showed off as she had not done anything else and ended up as best in show puppy. Chealse was so happy to get into the best in show veteran and there she finished third best veteran. Immediately after we went in with our breeders group, many thanks to all of you how helped us to show our dogs in the finals. We can proudly tell you that we became the best in show even with the breeders group. Our nice veteran Chelsea jumped first in the breeders group and despite the fact she just jumped in a finale she was chopping and jumping so the others barely could run as her.
 Then it was time for today's last final and all the dogs that had become the best in breed to make up for the best in show. Cecilia ran on as usual and she really glitters and we can proudly tell you she become best in show.

 After the show we went to Vible and raised dogs and made sure they had dinner. Then we went to Visby harbor and to the icecream magazine together with Ida and Claes we celebrate the fantastic achievements for our kennel.
 Below is a picture of Claes and Ida who eat ice cream. It's not easy to choose the taste of the ice cream as they have several hundred varieties to choose from and when we planned to eat food after the ice cream we would not eat too much ice cream before.

I am a big icecream fan so 5 ice cream balls was no problem to eat.

After the ice cream visit and a quick drive through Visby we went to a nice pizzeria called Lilla Elefanten, where we ate fresh pizza.

Then we went back to our temperaly homes, Ida and Claes lived north of Visby so they went home and we went home to Vible where we drank some champange and took care of the dogs and make them ready for next day.
After a few hours of sleep and a very early morning we returned to the show place. We arrived in Roma so early that we were first at the show area. There we ate mediterane sandwiches and drank coffee. It was cold and windy and not as hot as the day before.

  Chili won the best bitch puppy and also BOB puppy. Basil's owner had forgotten to report Basil, which was a pity so first of all the dogs who came from us were Tyson, he won his class again and finished the day as 3rd best male with CAC, congratulations Andrea E good job.
 Fhilip became 3rd best open male and he moved so well in the ring with his owner Ida.
 In the junior class, Cruella wins again and Cola became 4th, Cessan won the youth class and Cashmir won the open class, Joy was not placed in the class. Cecilia won the champion class and Carousel became second in that class. Chelsea won the veteran class and also became the BOB veteran.

At best, bitch we once again had the pleasant problem of qualifying all our six bitches. Again, Ida and Cacis put the gang up and helped us, thank you very much for that.
 In best bitch Cecilia won again and became BOB. The second bitch became our Polish import Cruella and as number three became Cessan and as four best bitch became Carousel. This day, Cruella got CAC and Cessan reserve-CAC. Number five became Cashmir and as number six became Chelsea. Thank you, everyone who set up to make this possible. Our breeders group with the same layout as the day before became BOB group.

 After the judging we took some good rest and photographed some dogs. Christer, Hampus, Hailey and Kimberly had been visiting Visby during the day and walked around a bit and kept it calm.

 When it was time for finals we thought the dog was completely over, but there we deceived, Chili ran on as usual in the best in show puppy and ended the day as best in show puppy.
 Chelsea became best in show-2 veteran and our nice breeders group became today's best in show-2 group. Then it was time for the best in show and Cecilia had been resting for a while and was really nice when she been showed, she become best in show for the second consecutive day. We are so proud and happy about our nice dogs.

Thank you very much to all of you who helped us make this possible and not least my partner Mats as we were on Gotland took a holiday day to fit our dogs at home and thank Louise who was in town in case Casino would get birth of her puppies.

After the show we were all very tired, lucky that Christer and Hampus hurried to pack the cars.

We left the show area last of all and visited Mc Donalds before we went home with the evening boat from Gotland.
